The Essenence of Bhutan Gross National Happiness
04.05.2015 - 07:33
„… is the peace and happiness of our people and the security and souvernity of the nation“, says Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, King of Bhutan. His concept was established already 1972 to save Bhutan´s culture and religion. By the happiness resolution of UN in 2011 it became worldwide a subject.
The focus is on sustainable development, conservation of natural environment, shifting the perception on intrinistic values to spare the resources in view of the growing worldwide prosperity. I am curious of the further discussion in Germany, the EU and worldwide.
The question is: Can the Gross National Happiness help us in the lasting distribution of our ressources? I am looking forward to your comments!

I believe it can. Happiness is an unlimited resource, it is abundant and available and constantly renewing of itself and us. If we can share that perhaps we can learn to share other things.
